In modern parlance it's a "Fuck around and find out" moment. These mongoloids have declared themselves above the law and are shocked/surprised when the people want nothing to do with them.

Maybe it’s not a coincidence they waited until just after 99% of WW2 vets died of old age to start this shit up.

382

u/IndividualTension887 3h ago

It only takes 3 generations to forget... This is absolutely by design.

205

u/Homerpaintbucket 2h ago

I was thinking about this last night. My parents had a pretty great and peaceful childhood because of the people who defeated the Nazis. My parents were then able to give me a pretty great and peaceful childhood. I currently can’t say the same for my kid.

49

u/mszulan 2h ago

When our leaders hold us to high standards of citizenship and we hold our leaders to high standards of service to our ideals and our citizenry, we get a relatively peaceful world where we all, even the least of us, have some degree of self-determination. As soon as leadership abandons ideals for expediency and profit, they start to think of people as things, just numbers on a tally sheet. This way lies absolute evil and all the excuses and justifications that come with it.

We cannot control events and watershed moments that occur. We can only control how we react to it.

Personally I am so f'cking pissed at these assholes! Idk about you & Idk how; but I cannot allow this shithousery of theirs pass unscathed to become my children's burden. That much I know.

(You know when Hitler did this it was for the advancement of Germany. These little shits want a little exploitative haven for themselves and their friends where they can let loose their perverted desires like bloodlust or pedophilia with no consequences. Of course they've coopted the violent white Christian nationalists to further this agenda and be their gestapo.)

My dad passed in 2021 at 95. I’m glad he’s not around to see this. He’d be livid. As old as he was, he had no time for Trump, and as his age and illness got worse, I had to explain to him several times why we couldn’t have Obama again.

106

u/bjdevar25 2h ago

We have friends who own a restaurant. They were telling us a ninety year old woman passed out and when the EMTs got there they were asking questions to help determine her mental state. When they asked who's president. She said "that asshole". The one EMT said she's fine.

32

u/SnazzleZazzle 2h ago

lol! Similar happened to my dad. The ambulance came and they asked him his birthdate and who’s the president, and he said, “I can’t remember his name, but he’s a big jerk!”

My sister said my dad was a republican and I lost it. He was a republican in the 1980’s. That doesn’t mean he would support trump. My dad was a very intelligent man with great critical thinking skills

38

u/SnazzleZazzle 2h ago

My dad voted for Carter in the 70’s and Regan in the 80’s. He also voted for Clinton and Obama, twice. The older he got, the further left he drifted, but that because he started being influenced by the younger generations (me and my kids). I reallly miss having a good conversation with him. He was interesting to talk to.

9

u/Sloth_grl 2h ago

u/Appropriatelylazy 2h ago

Basically.

My dad fought in WWII and helped liberate concentration camps. He hated Trump with a passion. Passed away in 2020 about a week before the pandemic hit that January. He used to talk to me a lot about what it was like for him in the war, and the impact it had on his life and how he treated people, and how he and my mom raised their family as a result. He must be absolutely spinning right out of his grave about now.

I told someone in Europe a few months back the same thing, it's been around 80 years since anyone has had to go through this level of corruption and malicious violence in a government living in the US. Trying to explain why the USA wasn't burning down cities four months ago, or whatever. Because various European countries have reacted far worse to far less. But we are young. Even the older people like me, we didn't see the effects of WWII. We didn't live under a fascist regime, nor have relatives who were killed in concentration camps. We don't yet fully comprehend the extent to which authoritarian regimes will push its populace to get people to submit. But we're beginning to, as a society, and should anyone find it coincidental that most of the people who did live through it all are now dead? I would not be surprised but we will be condemned to repeat history from the wrong side...

u/Trick_Quiet3484 2h ago

This is why history is an important subject. Unfortunately. It’s often overlooked in school.

I was taught, and I taught my kids, to honor the past and learn it from multiple perspectives. We made it a point to talk about, and visit historical sights in the US and other countries.

I had this thought when watching a video of the murder over the weekend. I got the feeling something was already broken in the guys head but I imagine he thought "huh so no punishment for murder, I wonder what it's like" and that's fucking terrifying

17

u/lemikon 1h ago

I very much agree with that. Renee Good’s murder could be argued as a panic/anger. She did not hit him with her car but it did come close. It’s still an extreme and unacceptable response but I can see the argument that he was scared/angry and that’s why he shot her. Still murder still not ok.

Alex Pretti’s murder was a blatant execution by someone on a power trip and it is incredibly frightening how quickly they have escalated from an “emotional response” styled murder to that.

96

u/Cautious-Activity706 3h ago

Also, they were using live, semi lethal ammunition on peaceful protesters who were running away. One lady in the ICU another one with half her hand blown off. You know what stops all of this? Draw down the ICE enforcement to the maximum level allowed in a city during the Biden presidency. That’s ALL the officials in Minnesota are asking. They can even keep on arresting “illegal” immigrants, I guess, just draw them down to 250 or so agents. That’s all. That stops ALL of this.

They detained two people, then an agent had a seizure. The detainees helped the agent deal with the seizure because the fellow officers were completely clueless...then were still detained (then released).

What stayed with Amundson most, she said, was not the adrenaline of the moment but the realization that came while she was holding the agent’s head in her hands and keeping his airway open.

“I was hit so hard with the fact that this man would not do this for me,” she said.

Her mind went immediately to Renee Good.
...
“We were willing to do for this man, this human, what they were not willing to do for Renee Good,” Zemien said.

Normally I would applaud and encourage helping anyone, regardless of politics or ideology.

But na, we shouldn't help ICE agents. No body should. Not anymore. They not only wouldn't help any of us, but they would beat us, detain us, and very likely shoot us before giving any of us aid. Oh wait. That's literally what they've been doing.

This woman is a good person for helping him. But they do not deserve it. Save the help and empathy for those that deserve it.

9

u/nickbelane 1h ago

I watched this live last night and one of the journalists/legal observers offered to provide aid (claiming they were qualified) multiple times but the injured guy refused while waving his weapon towards them.

My speculation is that he cut himself while priming and tossing smoke grenades running down the street towards the hotel. He wasn't bleeding before that but he was bleeding afterwards and was not attacked.

Maddox is a character portrayed by an intelligent, capable satirist. I don’t know why anyone is surprised he didn’t become alt-right, do people think that there are intelligent, capable satirists on the alt-right?

101

u/Richnsassy22 2h ago

I say this as a fan, but he was a total edgelord who clearly had issues with women. Let's not act like he didn't fit the profile of a future MAGA grifter.

Pleasantly surprised he didn't go that way, but it wouldn't have been shocking at all. Also probably would have been more lucrative for him, so good for him for not getting in on the grift.

Granted he was an edgelord like 15 years before the term was ever invented. He literally might be the first edgelord and for that I give him the pass. Times were a little different back then too — he’s been at it for so long that the nature of what’s conventional has changed. You could say stuff in 03-04’ that would be weird now but was funny back then

20

u/Apk07 2h ago edited 1h ago

but he was a total edgelord who clearly had issues with women

I think it was hard to separate him from the character he portrayed. If you watched his later youtube videos, he did a lot of content calling out bullshit and injustices (he was literally on an episode of Penn & Teller's Bullshit as well). Either he grew up quickly, or he was always a satirical character that often crossed the line and people weren't seeing past it.

25

u/Richnsassy22 2h ago

I think it was hard to separate him from the character he portrayed

I mean, I can think of a dozen other internet personalities who were just "playing a character"...until they weren't.

We don't know any of these people. All we have to go off of is their content, and Maddox's content definitely had a ton of overlap with what would become the alt-right sphere.

Like I said, happy he didn't end up that way, but I'm not the only person in this thread who's said they were a bit surprised by it.

u/BuildingSupplySmore 2h ago

Yes! I only recently got the details on that. I heard bits and pieces from Dick's side, and it made Maddox sound like he'd lost it. Once I actually got the details, Dick and his sycophants are nuts.

I enjoyed their pod together, but I wish it never happened, since it hurt Maddox's reputation and helped give Dick a following he never deserved.

Probably got a blister on his shootin' finger.

Not sure what they'd expect a cop to do for a medical emergency, tho. Call an ambulance?

u/SlowFrkHansen 3h ago

You can't tell a thing from the picture except there's blood on his hands*. It could be a vicious attack from the antifa horde, he could have blown off a finger when one of their "non-lethal" charges went off prematurely, or it could be a simple nosebleed. Those bleed like a motherfucker.

So do even smaller cuts on a finger, come to think of it. Lots of blood flow close to the surface.

*oh hell. I didn't catch the double meaning at first.

I remember them telling a physician at the Good scene that they have their own medics.

41

u/Cautious-Activity706 3h ago

Indeed! That’s how I hope the local cops responded, completely deadpanned.

Nono, you should give them heparin to help the bleed.

Sorry, but ICE has worked hard to raise the bar for what counts as "badly injured," and a guy in Call Of Duty cosplay who is able to walk around complaining about his injuries doesn't make the cut anymore.

u/Oggie_Doggie 3h ago

Look, I'm going to need more evidence that he was injured. I need multiple camera angles, sworn testimony, and a full investigation before we can come to any conclusions on whether this man is actually injured.

What, use my eyes? That's commie talk.

35

u/-Tasear- 3h ago

He could of hurt himself..and don't forget he was armed so he deserved ut

14

u/EitherChannel4874 2h ago

It's just radical far right nut propaganda. The video or images we see obviously shows an uninjured ice agent sitting on a ride at Disney land with his kid on a sunny day. We're investigating it ourselves so don't worry.

Anyine seeing anything else is just a far right domestic terrorist.

What does that mean, "the police wouldn't help them?"

Like, they wouldn't administer medical aid? The dispatcher hung up on them? They wouldn't call an ambulance?

Take off your masks and drive to the fucking ER like...?

Kinda telling when no one wants to help you huh?

I watched that video. He didn't get hit in the face unless he did it to himself. My bet is that he got rock hard from brutalizing people, but all the blood wouldn't fit into his tiny dick, so it came out of his nose anime style.
