Maybe all these tiny wallets are secretly a sign of genius genes.

I've regressed (progressed?). My wallet looked like that (bigger actually) from probably some time in the early 90s (middleschoolish) to maybe 2019. Now I have one of those wallets that only holds a stack of credit cards and has a money clip. (Looking at the clip, if I lost my wallet and saw that, I would think I found my old wallet(s). Same size, filled with papers, brown leather, everything. When one would finally give out, I bought another the same shape and color. )

I don't like the money clip, don't want to have to show whoever all the cash I might be carrying to find a certain denomination of bill

same. i carry like 4 cards with me now, and no cash. everything else is unimportant / i can leave at home, or it's already on my phone (like insurance cards).
i imagine if you have a big family or something though, you might need to carry different things for different people.

Because important things go in a case. You got a skull for your brain. A plastic sleave for your comb and a wallet for your money

I would argue it already is a purse, just without a carrying strap.

0 chance they're using 99% of these. Probably just people going up to them "here's my card" and then they look on with horror as it is added to the collection.

I’d hate to think what their house looks like. I’m sure there’s a credit card from 1978 instead there that they’re holding onto just in case.

u/Seigmoraig 3h ago
Pretty sure they're holding on to the entire purchase history from that card in there too

The glory days of starting work and it was full of cash, then bills started and it became slightly full of cards and cash
Now it’s full of cards, all empty, this gif is all my bank accounts outside of my rent savings

Thanks!

Jokes aside wtf are we even looking at? A couple of shoes that have been duct taped together? Like how is this practical in the slightest sense. Just open carrying it like a brick everywhere you go. Just get a purse at that point.

My Grandfathers wallet was somewhere between this one and George Costanzas. It was well known.
He hasn’t seen his old tailor in nearly 20 years and I recently saw him and told him I was Franklin’s Grandaughter and used to frequent his shop while my Grandpa got fitted.
We reminisced about my Grandfather and then he goes “And I will never forget that wallet of his! We’d have to custom make his pockets in his suits just to fit it.I even remember you having to help him wedge it out of his pockets a few times!”
