And if you can imagine joining a group at least partly to feel you are not facing a challenging, years-long process alone... and then being reminded, daily at minimum, that you're invisible to hordes of people out there, on top of every other safety challenge going on right now...

Well, it's a lot.

My title references the sub rule #1. Please consider really helping out some fellow peri participants and not addressing your posts and comments to us women and us ladies, because that does leave out some group members that could really use any crumb of support right now.

Tim Walz deployed the Minnesota National Guard, but they haven’t done anything to maintain public order, instead, they’re handing out free stuff to protesters. I’m not sure if that’s supposed to be one of their tactics for maintaining public order, Walz also doubled down by calling federal agents “rogue,” which only fuels more violent rhetoric against them

The Minneapolis PD is basically dead at this point, they are doing nothing while still getting paid by taxpayers

I also saw a video on X where a federal agent was left bleeding while defending a hotel from insurgents and masked far-left extremists

At this point, I agree with deploying the military for the sake of safety, for both civilians and federal agents

What’s more frustrating is that the mainstream media don’t even document or mention all of this, they choose to fuel more violent rhetoric against ICE agents instead

So I’m kinda real short on money and I have a flat tire in middle of snow storm and cold front so I haven’t been able to do anything and I’m trying to sort out buying a tire or fixing my tire or whatever but it was -30 the past two days and the weekend so not much I could really do today I planed on buying a tire and putting it on and I was expecting a refund from skip the dishes anyways because like I said I’ve been not being able to go anywhere and limited groceries so I’ve had to skip during the weekend only once and I hardly ever skip so I fucked up and ordered the order like 3 times for $40 because the credit card verification would load and then show lik blank white screen so I thought it wasn’t loading and I never got a order placed notification so I would refresh or close the app and reorder until I was like wtf is it my phone and I restarted my phone and then went to the app and realize I order it three times so I had to quickly cancel two and I did just in time but the skip took th money from my account which really fucked me over I was out $80 and skip gave me “skip credits” but I never use skip I have a car so I had to go to support and get the refund credit anyways next thing I know my friend is texting me asking if I’m using her account and about the $80 and I was like what and then realized I was on her account but using my card because I forgot I had her account logged in from last time we ordered skip tofther because she had credits she wanted to use and I didn’t realize I was so I logged out of hers after I talked to support and got the credits to charge back to my card but I guess I completely forgot to delete my card information from her account because when I checked my bank this morning I realize I was missing money and had an random skip charge and I was like freaking out going through my accounts and talking to support and I just went on me and her convo none the wiser and realized she texted me at 5am saying sorry she owes me money but she NEVER EVEN ASKED IF SHE COUKD SHE JUST DID?? I’m pissed but idk if I’m just overreacting because it’s only $28 and I guess that’s not a lot of money but I’m already low on money and spending more than I budgeted for because of having to order food and also because I need to buy a tire and install so I’m like really tight so maybe that stress is projecting on to her?? I’ve been seeing this out on the course more and more lately: pretty good casual golfers will hit an approach shot to say 3 feet from the hole, walk up and nonchalantly tap the ball toward the hole, miss, and their playing partner will just say “that’s good” and hit it back to them.

It’s clear that this is not a gimme (adding a stroke but not making the player putt the ball into the hole.) The implication seems to be… “If you had taken the time to line up that putt and hit it properly, it would have gone in. So count it.” The thing is, of course… they did not make that putt.

I think it’s weird, but it’s really just an observation. Every golfer should decide how they want to keep score for themselves unless it’s for money. But I guess I don’t think you should be bragging about a good score if you’re letting yourself off the hook for those shots either.

These sorts of communications are most effective when they include specific, actionable demands. Examples could be:

• Replacing the National Anthem with a moment of silence for the civilians killed or indefinitely detained and for the families torn apart by ICE and CBP.
• Refusing and cancelling corporate sponsorships associated with ICE and CBP.
• Committing to not use airlines, bus lines, and other companies that contract with ICE or CBP.
• Demand LA Lakers' part owner Mark Walter's companies divest from GWS Global - the largest private prison company in the world which contracts with ICE. (1)
• Demand Detroit Pistons' owner Tom Gores' companies divest from Aventiv Technologies - which provides money transfer access to prisoners and people in ICE detention at extortionary high rates. (2)
• Cancellation of Lakers and Pistons games until their owners divest from those companies
• Cancellation of games in protest or in solidarity with the workers who struck in Minneapolis.
• Adopt a league policy to deny federal agents access to arena/stadium parking lots and facilities without a judicial warrant establishing a specific need.

ich bin 26 Jahre alt und Wohne zur Zeit mit meiner Freundin zur Miete. Wir sind finanziell solide aufgestellt. Meine monatliche Sparrate in ETFs beträgt 2.000 €. Also sie schenken mir das Geld und ich kaufe damit die Wohnung! 😯 Sie wollen mir und meinem Bruder ab jetzt (da wir nun keine doofen Teenager mehr sind, die sich sofort einen Sportwagen gekauft hätten) ihr Geld schenken, damit wir was sinnvolles damit machen können und nicht bis zum Erbfall warten müssen. Ab jetzt werden also die vollen Schenkungsfreibeträgt alle 10 Jahre ausgenutzt um die Erbschaftsteuer zu reduzieren. Es gibt ein Vermögen von circa 5 Mio. € (stand jetzt, vermehrt sich, da investiert), das an uns übertragen werden soll. Das war mir absolut nicht bewusst, da wir in unserer Kindheit sehr bodenständig gelebt und meine Eltern auch immer noch tun.

Mit diesem riesigen Betrag habe ich echt überhaupt nicht gerechnet und bin immernoch wirklich überwältigt. Ich hatte noch nie wirkliche Geldsorgen, aber ging davon aus, dass der Weg zum eigenen Vermögen und zum Wohneigentum lang und anstrengend werden wird. Ich habe mir in mein Aktienportfolio von circa 130.000 € erarbeitet. Und nun erfahre ich, dass ich dank meiner Eltern längst finanziell frei bin.

Ich bin sooo dankbar, glücklich und erleichtert. 😍 Genau so möchte ich es mit meinen Kindern auch machen. Ich habe, außer dem Umzug in die Eigentumswohnung, nicht vor etwas an meinem Lebensstandard zu ändern. Ich bin glücklich und zufrieden und brauche das viele Geld (im Moment) nicht, aber es beruhigt mich ungemein.
